Our Expertise
Port Drayage
We serve the Northern California Ports of Oakland and Stockton. With daily port drayage and inland freight responsibilities, Golden State Freight has cemented itself as a reliable intermodal and port drayage firm in Northern California. All drivers are properly permitted and registered. Golden State Freight is no stranger to understanding how to get business done within ports and port operations.
Rail Drayage
Because Golden State Freight is dedicated to efficiency and customer service, we will go above and beyond to make sure our client’s timelines are met. In order to do this, Golden State Freight goes to the rail yard in advance of the ship date to locate and secure a good order box, inspect it at the rail yard and again at Golden State Freight’s yard. Once the box is secure, we will transport our client’s freight as needed and, if possible, “street turn” the good order box for another shipment. This means that Golden State Freight is able to better serve their customers, is flexible and prepared for anything that might arise.
Golden State Freight services two rail ramps in Northern California – the Union Pacific rail ramp in Lathrop and the Stockton BNSF rail ramp in Stockton.
Dedicated Services
Golden State Freight is available for our customers specific needs, including Dedicated Services trucking. Golden State Freight will go store-to-store, rail to store, port to warehouse or any combination it takes to get the job done. Golden State Freight is committed to providing a reliable service to our customers. The firm is large enough to handle the job, but locally owned and small enough to be a nimble, dedicated partner.
Our dedicated services clients include local manufacturers, retailers and more. Golden State Freight even has clients on auto-accept; we will take every load and make it happen.
Interstate Transportation
For interstate trucking needs throughout the United States and Canada, Golden State Freight is proud to work closely with Garrison Logistics, a national logistics company.
Garrison Intermodal, a division of Garrison Logistics, provides intermodal transportation throughout the United States. Along with intermodal we also provide OTR and LTL services. Golden State Freight is proud to work closely with Garrison Logistics for logistics and licensing. With Garrison Intermodal, Golden State Freight can provide our customers with an uninterrupted shipping experience throughout North America.
